About

A young woman kneeling on a red running track with a trophy in front of her, wearing a white cap, green and white striped sweater, denim shorts, and white sneakers, smiling on a sunny day with a stadium and trees in the background.

Love Sport Africa is a registered non-profit organisation that works with young people in under-resourced communities by using sport as a practical tool for development. We provide structured training and education programmes that help youth build skills and access opportunities that extend beyond the sports field. Our work is centered on the idea that sport can provide more than recreation. It can create learning environments where young people gain discipline, learn to work with others, and take responsibility for their goals. By combining sport with life skills and educational support, we create programmes that are relevant to the realities of young people while also opening pathways to growth and opportunity.

Our Programmes

Love Sport Africa aims to expand opportunities for young people through sport and education. We work to contribute to the holistic wellbeing of individuals and communities by supporting youth development in ways that are practical and sustainable. Our programmes combine structured sports training with personal and educational support. This approach creates learning environments that are active, inclusive, and engaging, while also addressing the broader challenges that young people face in school and in their communities. We partner with schools, local clubs, and community organisations to ensure that our programmes are accessible and responsive to the real needs of those we serve.

    Rugby for Women Empowerment

The Rugby 4 Women Empowerment Programme combines competitive schoolgirl rugby with life skills, academic performance and personal development. It positions young women as athletes and leaders, providing skills, visibility and recognition within both their communities and the broader sporting landscape.

The Volunteer Exchange Programme connects South African schools and clubs with international volunteers while placing local participants abroad. It fosters cross-cultural learning and equips young people with leadership skills, global networks and opportunities for long-term personal and professional development.
